Shenyang hosts 2018 World Smile Day activities

May 8, the 2018 World Smile Day activity with the theme "giving the world a smile" was held at Shenyang Radio & TV Station. Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres sent a congratulatory letter to give a thumbs-up to the "smile Shenyang". The smiling drift book--To Smile 4.0 version started its travel to the world, too.

World Smile Day of Shenyang started in 2012. The main purpose of this activity is to "pass on the strength of smile, promote social progress". May 8, 2018 is the 70th World Smile Day. Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres sent a congratulatory letter to give a thumbs-up to the "smile Shenyang". He said in his letter:" Smile can narrow differences and light up the world. On the occasion of World Smile Day in China, let's bear in mind that nothing can be more joyous than peace. I should extend my gratitude to Shenyang people for spreading positive energy to the world. Our world is facing severe challenge now. Yet we still have the encouraging blueprint to build up a world of peace and prosperous together--- a sustainable development goal. The United Nations hopes that the whole world can devote to the establishment of a peaceful and harmonious future."

Takada Hideki, general administrative manager of Sapporo Economy Department, Sino-Japan Economy Association Beijing Branch, participated in the activity and addressed the speech. The activity was also broadcasted via International Channel. CCTV, and had interactivity with the US, Israel, Iran, Kenya and other countries to discuss about the main theme of this activity, mutual development, a peaceful world and build up a smile world. Shenyang-Europe Special Train and the airplanes flying to all over the world would also set out to the world with the 4.0 version of To Smile.
