Construction of 2nd phase of Shengli Avenue Expressway to be carried out,and part of the roads to be closed for construction

The construction of Shengli Avenue Expressway started in November, 2017. 10m wide motor vehicle lane in the middle of the road section from South Xiandao Road to the south bridgehead of Shengli Avenue Cross-Hunhe River Bridge has been occupied for construction. Three single-way motor-vehicle lanes have been left on the east and west sides for transportation. Traffic circulation is going smoothly at present. In accordance with the plan, Shenyang Urban and Rural Construction Department will carry out the construction of the 2nd phase of Shengli Avenue Expressway from 21:00, May 29. The construction is predicted to be completed by the end of September with a construction duration of 4 months.

The 2nd phase of Shengli Avenue Expressway starts from South Xiandao Road on the north to PC1st Road on the south with a total length of about 1.7km.The substructure construction will occupy part of the roads. A 700m long road section from South Xiandao Road (Shengli Avenue) to the entrance of No.4 Middle School of Korean Nationality will be occupied. Affected by the pipeline network, the bridge piers will be set on both sides of the road. To reduce the impact, the construction will be carried out in two steps. The first step of the construction will occupy the 9m wide road on the west side of the road. The 18m wide road left will be used as 2-way 6-lane motor vehicle road. In the second step, the 9m wide road on the east will be occupied. The 12m wide road left will be used as 2-way 4-lane motor vehicle.About 1km road section from the entrance of No.4 Middle School for Korean Nationality to PC1 will be occupied for construction. The bridge piers will be set in the middle of the road and takes up about 10m wide road. The rest 18m road on the east and west side will be used as 2-way 6-lane motor-vehicle lane.Vehicles can detour from South Nanjing Street during the construction.
