A pair of lantern-shaped porcelain bottles pictured at Shenyang Palace Museum in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 4. As national grade-one cultural relics, the two porcelain bottles were made during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1796) in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). They feature paintings of 16 boys, which are designed to convey the meaning of “having many sons and grandsons”. The exhibition will last until Sept 25. [Photo/Chinanews.com]
