On July 25, the reporter learned that the Flying Eagle-200 Large Unmanned Helicopter developed by Shenyang institute of automation, Chinese academy of sciences, has completed all test flights and entered the acceptance stage. The plane realizes the localization of key components such as control system, power system, transmission system and so on. It indicates that the independent research and development ability of large unmanned helicopter in China has been further improved.

Gu Feng, deputy researcher of Shenyang institute of automation , introduced that the Flying Eagle-200 Unmanned Helicopter was jointly developed by Shenyang institute of automation as the main department and several departments of the Chinese academy of sciences. This type of unmanned helicopter key broke the key technologies of autonomous flight control, landing deck, Marine protection, lightweight materials, engine and so on.For the first time in China, it has successfully realized the technical verification of the ship deck independent take-off and landing of large unmanned helicopter, and it is also the first time that a new generation of domestic engine system has been adopted for the domestic unmanned helicopter of the same level. The magnitude of unmanned helicopter system has broad application prospects in many fields such as ocean law enforcement, modern agriculture and emergency rescue.

Shenyang institute of automation has been engaged in the research of unmanned helicopter since 2003. It has accumulated rich research and development experience in basic theories, key technologies and system integration, and has developed a number of unmanned helicopter systems and equipment that have realized important applications such as Antarctic scientific research, Lushan earthquake rescue, and the erection of Yangtze power transmission lines.
