Arts Festival for Students from China and Overseas 2018 Shenyang China was held

October 5, Arts Festival for Students from China and Overseas 2018 Shenyang China was held. More than 80 overseas students from 10 universities including Renmin University of China and Central Academy of National Minorities visited the Shenyang Palace Museum and Lang Lang Piano Square, enjoyed the beautiful scenes along the Hunhe River and tasted local featured food of Shenyang. They all praised highly of the history, culture and beautiful urban sceneries of Shenyang.

The Hunhe River shows its stunning beauty in the golden autumn. Zhu Liu from Canada stopped from time to time to appreciate the wonderful view. He said to the reporter:"It's my first time to Shenyang. I went to the Shenyang Palace Museum and Lang Lang Piano Square. I saw the scenery along the Hunhe River.The Hunhe River flows quietly in autumn. The bridges over the river connect the souther part and northern part of Shenyang. The spectacular scene reminded me of my hometown."

His name Zhu Liu comes from the sound of his English name. He came to China to realize his dream and learn Chinese well.

Li Zelan from Cameroon had heard about the Shenyang Palace Museum before she came here. She was quite excited to go there. She said:"I went to many places of Shenyang today. What impressed me most is the Shenyang Palace Museum. I saw many ancient utensils. I'm quite interested in Chinese history. China has extensive and profound history. I'm so happy to have such an opportunity to come here."

Wang Ziming from Pakistan is an overseas student of Shenyang Aerospace University. He has been in Shenyang for four years. He already got Chinese nationality. He is quite familiar with Shenyang now. He said:"I like Shenyang very much. I feel that Shenyang people are all very nice and friendly. Shenyang is a beautiful city. The climate here is very comfortable, too. The dishes here are far too different from my country. I love Chinese food,especially Chinese hot pot, Baozi and Jiaozi."

In order to let the overseas students learn more about Chinese culture, the sponsor of this activity specially invited teachers and students from both China and from abroad to have culture exchange. Zhao Jianbo from Thailand gave a performance of Changing Faces.The pastry cook of the restaurant brought the fillings for dumplings and glutinous rice dumplings, dough and bamboo leaves to teach the students to make dumplings and glutinous rice dumplings.The overseas students were quite interested. They all fixed their eyes on the pastry cooks to figure out how they fill the fillings into the dumpling wrappers. Then they pick up the dumpling wrappers to learn and make the dumplings with the pastry cooks.They all showed intense interest to the cooking culture of China.
