Recommended sites: Wu'ai Market, Zhongjie Street, Taiyuan Street, MIXC, Longemont, Olympic Sports Center trade area, outlet malls.

Wu'ai market’s name comes from its original location on Wu'ai Street in Shenhe district. Built in 1983, the market has developed into one of China's most popular tourism and shopping destinations.

One of Shenyang’s most prosperous streets with a history going back over 370 years, Zhongjie Street was China's first pedestrian street. In 2008, it gained fame as the “National Golden Street".

As one of China's most popular commercial pedestrian streets, Taiyuan Street is an influential fashion hub for Northeast China. Following the example set by Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district, the area was rebuilt in the early years of the 21st century.

Shenyang MIXC, located in Jinlang Plaza, is a seven-story building with a 250,000-sq-m business area. MIXC hosts more than 200 establishments covering retail, catering, entertainment and leisure services.

Longemont is a business center in Dadong district in Shenyang, only 1.8 kilometers from Shenyang Palace Museum. The trade area surrounding the Olympic Sports Center has developed into Shenyang's third-strongest business area and now offers shopping, catering, leisure and entertainment, as well as furniture and industrial supplies.

Shenyang is home to three outlet malls: Qipan Mountain Outlets, Park Outlets and Xinglong Outlets. All three provide discount stores dealing in leading brands. With leisure and entertainment, shopping and sightseeing on offer, outlet malls can be shopping paradises for locals and shoppers from neighboring cities.
