New games spurt sparks in winter ice-snow tourism
Shenyang ski resorts launch experiencing and creative projects to attract teenagers

December 2, more than one hundred three or four years old little riders went to the elementary ski run of Shenyang Guaipo Ski Resort. They dressed in colorful ski suits, wore helmets and goggles, and slid down on the balancing scooter which equipped with snow board on the wheels. Their parents took pictures or videos beside the ski run or waited for their kids at the starting point. The scene was heartwarming and joyful.

Our reporter learned in the interview on December 4 that all ski resorts in Shenyang all started to enrich ice-snow activities. They would use new games and new ideas to attract more tourist to go to the outside to the ice and snow world to have fun in winter. Shenyang ice and snow tourism market is using these creative activities to spur sparks.

All children and their parents love the balancing scooters on ice and snow

Chen Jie, general manager of Guaipo Ski Resort told the reporter:" In recent years, many balancing car clubs contacted with the ski resort to host this activity. This activity is quite entertaining. Combining this game with ice and snow can better ignite their enthusiasm." Though winter has just begun, they have already hosted this activity for a few times. All children and their parents loved this game a lot. Many people saw the funny game and then brought their children to come.The activity will last for the whole snow season.

Relevant official of Shenyang Dong Bei Ya Ski Resort told the reporter that this balancing scooter game is held at elementary ski run or the teaching ski run. Other tourists are prohibited to go to the elementary ski run or the teaching ski run when the game is held to ensure the safety of the children. The ski resort becomes quite noisy because every child always has one or two of their family members accompanying them. After the activity, these family members always play games on the snow with their children.

New projects make substantial increase of tourists to ski resorts

In recent years, Shenyang ski resorts held abundant ice and snow activities. Besides skiing and snow amusement parks, a series of activities such as Yukigassen (Japanese for Snow Battle), parent-child skiing, trio skiing and ice-snow sports meeting. Snow balancing scooter is one of these activities. These activities attracted lots of tourists who were not fond of ice and snow activities before. Reporter learned that 150 families, 450 people, took part in the snow balancing scooter game held on December 2 at Guaipo Ski Resort.

Relevant official said:" We held alpine skiing last year. Because of the parents who came to accompany the children, passenger volume increased to about 2000 from 1200--1300 at the weekends." With the same amount of money, the tourists can have better experience. These activities are also sales promotion. They can not only attract the tourists, but can also better promote and disseminate the ski resorts and skiing activities.

Concentrating on innovation and attract teenagers to go on ice and snow

Insiders all said the good quality ice and snow resources and professional ski run are quite attractive to the skiers. Teenagers like strong experience feelings. The ski resorts should attract these potential skiers from home and let them play in the ice and snow. The development of ski tourism products should focus on innovative experience and make people who are not familiar with ice and snow tourism more approachable.

"Creative ideas and funny activities can expand the influence of ice-snow tourism and increase the enthusiasm of the citizens to participate in ice and snow activities. Many parents gradually become the fans of ice and snow games when they accompany their children to play on ice and snow." said Chen Jie. He said:" We should let the masses experience and know about ice and snow before we can make transformation. It's the original intention of the promotion of these creative activities. Let more people feel and know about ice and snow activities to assist 'encouraging 300 million people to go to participate in ice and snow activities'."
