During the Spring Festival transportation of 2019, Shenyang North Railway Station is expected to send 2.13 million passengers with a year on year growth of 2%. Average number of passengers sent each day is 53,000. January 20, reporter learned that Shenyang North Railway Station will push out lots of measures for the convenience concern of the passengers and devote all to make a safe, ordered and cozy Spring Festival transportation.

Add more ticket offices and make ticket purchasing more convenient.

The area of the first floor entry platform is expanded by 847 square meters and the entry channel is expanded by 463 square meters. 4 real-name manual inspection gates, 12 self-service real-name checking machines and 6 security check machines are installed; the hall of the second floor entry is expanded by 218 square meters and the entry channel is expanded by 410 square meters. 2 real-name manual inspection gates, 9 self-service real-name checking machines and 4 security check machines are installed. These machines greatly improved the efficiency and made passengers enter the railway station much more quickly. After the expansion construction at the south entry of Shenyang North Railway Station, a ticket office is added at the drop-off platform on the second floor. There are 4 manual ticket sales windows and 15 self-service ticket vending machines inside the ticket office, which can greatly benefit the passengers who are not able to purchase tickets or fetch tickets in time.

Reduce links and give the passengers a more unhindered transfer trip

Passengers with interline tickets of the high-speed rail stops at Shenyang North Railway Station who transfer to other trains within 30 minutes can enter the waiting hall from the platform by contacting the passenger crews with visible equipment. Disabled people and passengers who take large luggage can take the lift. Reducing security check and such links can save time and energy of the passengers.

Improve environmental quality and make taking or waiting for trains more comfortable

The railway station set up dining tables, self-service checking machines, put cushions on the chairs, upgrade drinking water equipment, check and maintained vending machines, ATM machines and cell phone charging stations.Besides, they enhanced cold prevention and heating to ensure the comfortable temperature in the waiting hall and ticket office. Also, more than 20 university student volunteers are organized to give guiding service at the entry on the first and second floor, ticket sales windows and 12306 service counter. Besides, Shenyang North Railway Station established medical care team together with No.2 Hospital of Liaoning Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine to provide medical treatment for passengers.
